TREES NOT PLASTIC!

STOP DANONE HARROGATE SPRING WATER

Save Rotary Wood Badge

DESTROYING OUR 20 YEAR-OLD COMMUNITY WOODLAND

This global organisation, Danone Harrogate Spring Water, already produces a staggering 200 million single-use plastic water bottles annually.

It now wants to rip up our precious woodland to expand and unleash tonnes more plastic pollution on the planet each year.

Join us to Save Rotary Wood, a special and very popular community green space, planted with school children two decades ago in the heart of Harrogate, to become a beautiful haven for local people and visitors to enjoy. Together we will send a clear message to do what's right by putting people, local wildlife and the wider planet before plastic and profit.

OBJECT TO DANONE HARROGATE SPRING WATER'S EXPANSION PLANS BY FRIDAY 15TH NOVEMBER, 2024 OR WE LOSE:

  • 4.25 beautiful acres of mixed- species woodland which has reached optimal carbon sequestration to support a sustainable future!

  • A very special and popular community green space much-loved by local people of all ages and visitors to Harrogate, North Yorkshire. It is part of The Pinewoods which lead into the world famous and historic Valley Gardens.

  • A wildlife haven - including protected and priority species - bats and badgers
